I am looking to buy a set of hardy but reasonably light training wheels and want to spend around the 300 pound mark could anybody recommend a good set.
Have been looking at the Easton circuit wheelset and the fulcrum racing 3(however every online bike shop seems sold out of the fulcrums).
Are the circuits good or can anyone think of any other great alternatives.....

If you are only looking for lightish training wheels, I would buy Open Pros on a mid-range hub. I used to think that this approach seemed a bit 'fuddy duddy' as there are so many great factory built sets available.
However, I really can't tell much difference between the £30 set of Open Pros on Mirage (?) hubs that I bought at a jumble and my Campagnolo Neutrons.
There was an involved thread on weightweenies recently which concluded that aero profile is ultimately more important than light weight so I would invest half your money as suggested and spend some of the rest on buying the best quality tyres you can afford - you could easily save 100-150g in this area and great tyres make a mid-quality wheelset a joy to ride.0 -
I'd agree
Ops on the best hub you can afford (s/hand DT or Hope?)
DT spokes, pro-lock nipples, latex tubes (if you own a trackpump) and your favourite tyres
