Helmets - Atmos worth the money or got for Monza?

Want to get a new cycle helmet and have narrowed it down to the Giro Atmos or the Giro Monza.

Is the Atmos worth the extra money? It looks slightly nicer and looks more ventilated (I suffer from a hot head so am slightly more drawn to it for this), but it's nearly twice the price of the Monza from most places! :shock:

For what it's worth, I know nothing about the Atmos, but I'm very happy with my monza. It's light and (for me) well ventilated, and the restraint system gives a snug, comfortable fit. Once I've put it on, I don't even notice it's there. Works for me.

No experience of anything of the Atmos end of the market but I've just recently upgraded to a Monza and it has been excellent so far.

A nice snug fit (though being shaven headed it does leave pretty patterns in my head ) and certainly adequate ventilation for me (but then I've a lack of hair).

The Pneumo is just as good as the Atmos...and less expensive. Have you looked at the Met Stradivarius?....that's an excellent helmet too. (we don't have the Monza here in the US...at least I haven't seen/heard of one, so I can't comment on this one).

Id say yes it is worth the extra.

Ive got a pneumo and an atmos.

The pneumo is good, albeit at least 10 years old now, but isnt as secure or as ventilating as the atmos. The fitting of the atmos is far superior, doesnt feel loose at all and half the time I forget Im wearing it.

Commute in the pneumo race in the atmos..!

Monza for me.

Spend any more and it's a styling exercise IMO.
