I know is is a serious matter but just to lighten things up for a while how about these for starters..............................
"I was shaving my legs"
"I was giving blood(d'oh)"
"I was at weight watchers"
"I was learning how to use email, telephone and write to enable me to keep people informed"
I am sure there are better excuses than this out there!
