Looking at these 3 bikes,
Orange 5, Blur LT, Stumpjumper.
Ridden a stumpy, and testing a LT soon. Orange 5 bit harder to test as cant find one near me, but i'll try a bit further afield.
Anyway, just after peoples opinions on the Orange 5. Where would you say it fits in the above trio. Is it more of a DH / freeride bike than the Blur? How does it cope on full day XC rides and climbs.
Thanks in advance

I'd say the Blur and the 5 are very similar bikes in their design and intended use. However, I would hazard a guess as to say that the Blur could handle a few rougher descents than the Orange. The Blur is warrantied to be used with a 160mm travel fork. This will slacken the head angle making it much more suitable to FR/AM use than the 5 which comes with a more XC friendly head angle of 70 degrees as standard (although it is also warrantied for a 160mm fork).
Use your gut feeling about the bikes. You may prefer the feel of the suspension movement of the VPP rather than the single pivot. The very linear stroke of the Stumpjumper also might appeal to you more.0 -

Found a place not too far away which has orange's to test so i'll have a shot on all 3
I've got a Spec Epic at moment which i like lots but could just do with a bit more travel. I'm one of those rare bikers that actually like climbs haha so i want a bike that climbs really well, but with just bit more f + r travel than my epic. Ideally after just a frame (not sure if Specialized sell the stumpy frame by itself - i know they sell the S-works one, but i dont really want a carbon frame, just the alloy one).0
