Anyone apart from me think this headline might be a bit beside the point.
Of course the fact that he was on a bike is relevant as an identifying feature but I doubt we'll ever see the headline 'Motorist Assaults Woman' when the attacker arrives and makes his getaway in a car.
Perhaps I'm being sensitive.

Don't see any issue with it. He was apparently on a cycle...hence a cyclist...
Try being a 4x4 driver and a cyclist, then you'll really find some headlines (and thread titles) to wind you up
