Hello everyone, I'm looking to replace the cheap brakes that came with my decathlon 7.1 roadbike. However im not sure what 'drop size' I should be looking for, what should I measure?

Thanks
Mike

Measure from the centre of the mounting bolt to the centre of the rim.
Another clue is how much clearance there is between the top of the tyre and the underside of the fork crown. Almost no clearance = short drop, room for a finger between tyre and fork = long drop.

Thanks Topdude, doesnt seem to be room for a finger in there and I'm pretty sure the drop size is now 49mm, now to get some new brakes!

    Cheers
