Try here for a quote - I have just sent an old frame and bike parts and some books to Oz (approx 14Kg) for 100 quid using DHL. 1/2 the price of other quotes.

Very bizarre - I have a carton 105cm x 19cm x 52cm waiting for me at DHL premises in Adelaide. I could have had it redelivered to my home address but that is more inconvenient for me as I work on a security concious, restricted personnel, site. That took 5 days to go from Glasgow to Adelaide (including customs) which I think is top marks.

Try contacting them and see what they say. http://www.interparcel.com/contact.php There may be regulations/licencing issues which means that they are restricted in what services they can offer between Europe. I tried various sizes - it would appear the max. size it will accept is 70x40x67cm (6kg) which comes in at 59 quid +vat.

Good luck with it. Lets know how you get on whoever you get as I have a brother in France and it may be useful for the future to find out a good courier.

not really that bizzare as there is almost 1/10 of a cubic meter difference in size.

a bike from the UK to Europe is about 100 pounds.

I did, only the first link applies (limit 30kg) second is no use as it's 10Kg. Rules seem to suit a bike box, say 1300m x 90cm x 30cm
    Maximum girth allowed is 2.5m (girth= length(cm) + width(cm) + height(cm))

Maximum length of any one side may not exceed 1.5m

Cost £29.99 or add £10 for £1000 insurance

[Edit: I see it's only wheels so it will be well within the limits, and indeed the second link would be okay too, which is £19.99 plus extra for insurance].

sorry i just use a haulage company.

but DHL,Schenker and any of the others.

when i have things shipped from the UK to me here i use Schenker and when i have stuff from Czech. Rep. it tends to come by DHL but i might be getting Schenker to collect.

    Think I have it sorted.

70x70x25 cm and 3 kilos will cost 52 quid with a grands worth of insurance.

I think that is over the odds, I reckon £30ish would do it
