Morning all
Well I finally did it, managed to fit the rear SKS mudguard last night, and cycled in this monring - lovely day for it as well.
Walked to the station with my gf, and then cycled from there, only around 2.5 miles from there I imagine, nothng like the fantastic length commutes some of you people do, but better than nothing, and a start for me!
All along cycle paths, so nice and easy. Had left my lock at work yesterday, so didn't have to carry that, had neglected to bring in a spare change of clothes 'in case' and also a towel, but will look to bring them in later this week, or pop in at the weekend.
Anything else I should look to keep at work for the just in case scenario?
Shoes/socks etc?
many thanks

I've been commuting by bike for six weeks now, it's a lot easier than getting the bus.
In work I leave my shoes and a pair of trousers (take home old pair on friday and bring in a clean pair on a monday). I also leave a towel in the office so I can get a shower when I get in.
I leave my lock on the bike rack, which is thankfully just outside my office window so I can keep an eye on it. I've labelled my lock with my name and extension number because I'm paranoid that one of our estates workers might cut it off when my bikes not there.1
