Giant seatpost.........again

Hi there,

I know this has been answered many times before but I can't find the posts from the old C+ forum.......BUT.......how do I cure the creaking on the seatpost on my Giant SCR 3.0?

Any suggestions would be great as it is driving me round the bend. I had it in my head that the creaking was coming from the headset and got a bit unnerved.

    You need to remove the shim and apply grease to the outside of it (the bit in contact with the seat tube). Fixes the problem for a while, then do the same again, and again,......
    More problems but still living....

    yep, worked for mine which had been driving me insane. Also I took the actual collar off and greased that up like a suckling pig as well. Cue blissful silence.
