Hi all.
As the title suggests I am looking at my first forays back into road cycling since I was in my teens. Time seems to have passed rather quickly technology wise, and I would appreciate some advice on what bikes I should be looking at.
Firstly, a bit about me......6 foot tall, 13 stone, atheletic (ahem) build.
My requirements: road bike capable of distances at the weekend rideouts and possibly the odd competitive blast at a local time trial.
I have recently seen some good looking machines within budget (c£900) which are a 2006 Cannondale Synapse 105 and a Giant TCR Team Hybrid, both with 105 groupsets.
I do not want to neccessarily limit my thinking to these 2 brands, so would appreciate any comments on what to be looking at and equally, things to avoid, without having to listen to a salepersons speil, having canvassed other riders opinions first.
Thanks in advance
Nick

http://www.bikebike.co.uk/products.php? ... 0s244p1703 have a look at this mate. I bought one and they are superb to ride. According to the link they have a couple of 56cm's left which should be ideal for you. Agree that other sites will start reducing 07 bikes any time now and after a bad summer you may get a better deal than you thought. Just got my wife 30% off a 2007 trek 5000 which is a lovely bike too.0
