best marathon bike

what in your opinion is a better bet for a marathon event eg. merida 100k, im not sure whether to get a carbon hardtail such as an xtc comp zero for the climbing or a full susser for the comfort. what would your preference be.

well providing theres no dropoffs for normal marathon XC the carbon fibre Specialized Epic would probably be right at the top of my list.

If I could have any bike specifically for Marathon racing it would be the Cannondale Rush Carbon.

Im gonna have to go and test ride a Cannondale bike someday, i really want to know how it feels with the lefty fork , id be so scared that the wheel would just fall off.
