I have started biking around my house and I really want to start mountain biking. I live near the Les Gets/Morzine so when i get serious mountain biking I'll start going there.

I am looking for a bike which can handle some freeride stuff but mainly cross country. my buget is 500 pounds and i would prefer having a Kona or Specialized simply because I have a dealer near me which sells them

    well get yourself int the dealer and buy a nice hard tail as that all your going to get for 500.

    and as we have no idea as what is in your buget over there. tell use what you have seen/like and we can tell you if it is a good bad idea.

    I was thinking of one of the Hardrock's. I really dont know a lot about kona bikes but another make i wouldn't getting is trek.Any idea's people

    i was looking at this dealers website near me and its got really cheap treks and if these prices are right i was looking at the trek 6500 disk or the trek 6000 disk
