Conti 4 Season Dura-S#!t
Dura-Skin my elbow more like Dura S#!t.
out on a ride this morning and punctured. i've only done a few hundred miles on the bike since i got it and have already had 2 punctures. i've got Racelight Hard Cases on my other bike that i use to commute and in 1500 miles just one puncture and that was a nail that would have brought a car to a stop.
Rant over; anyone know the cheapest place to pick up Bonty Hardcases?

I've been running 4 Seasons all winter. 2000 miles plus and one puncture. Front one still looks like new. You may have just been unlucky.
I found Ulta Gators to be hopeless as the carcase used to deform after the tread got cut. I never wore one out, just binned them as unsafe.0 -
I've used 4 Seasons for the past 14 months, no problems at all, not even a puncture. They're on my commuting bike / trainer, so they get a lot of abuse as well. I'll definately be using the same tyre when it comes to replacing them - back tyre is a little square now. I agree that the Ulta Gators are completely useless though.0

worst tyres ive ever used-felt like wood and punctured by a pine needle :!:
binned 'em and got michelin krylion-tyre happiness'dont forget lads, one evertonian is worth twenty kopites'0 -
Ive had them since October on my winter bike (so plenty of use the last couple of months then :? )
I did get a couple of punctures first time I used them, but then had none since (3000 miles worth) despite a couple of 10mm cuts I picked up quite early.
I guess if youre gonna puncture it doesnt really matter what tyre youve got, no tyre is really puncture proofdont knock on death\'s door.....
Ring the bell and leg it...that really pi**es him off....0 -
I've got gators on my winter bike, which I've been using quite a bit lately. Not too many punctures, but they don't seem very well made and there are long strips of thread peeling of both tyres. What about Spesh Armadillos, are they any good? As I like Vittoria tyres ( who make Bontragers ), should I try hard cases? I think they do them on the CTC shop (aka Evans cycles).0

I've used Conti 4 Seasons the last few winters. I have forund them 100% reliable - no punctures riding country lanes 500+ miles per month. They're not very fast but have decent grip. If you've had lots of punctures perhaps you've been unlucky? What pressure do you run them at? I run them at 120psi.0
-
i normally run the tyres at 120 psi, i have to say though that yesterday morning as i was a few miles into the ride i thought they felt a bit softer than normal. i was in a rush and only had an hour and a half spare so grabbed my best bike off the rack (it was a dry morning!!!) and went off with out checking them.
i'll seal the cut in the tyre and make sure that i run them at the orrect pressure and see how i get on.
as i am sure you can detect i've calmed down a bit
