open pro vs CXR

Hi
Looking to get a new wheelset built up. Aiming for top of the range handbuilt, light but strong enough for regular club use (I'm 13 stone). I had been thinking Mavic open pro on record hubs, but does anyone have experience of mavic CXR rims? These are reportedly a lot stiffer. And can anyone comment on the new record hubs, or suggest alternatives?
Thanks
Richard

I've been running open pro's on chorus hubs 10 speed for a while now,& am delighted with the weight/comfort factor, after using old eurus (OLD 8 speed) before. Its ok magazines quoting rigidity etc,but in the real world,a bit of give in the wheel rim does give a much more comfortable ride.
I am about your weight & absolutely no prob's with 32 spokes.Sean yates did say you can't beat a good pair of hand built open pros in the real world,so,if they're good enough for him....
    so many cols,so little time!

To get even lighter, you could go for sapim cx ray spokes,& maybe a lightweight cassette if funds allow

I run Open Pros on Ultegra hubs. Excellent value for money and I am very happy with the performance.

The new White Industries hubs are supposed to be really nice...

I have CXPs on my fixed wheel and while they are rigid and very strong I am thinking of swapping them for Open Pros as I am only about 10 and a half stone so don't need bomb proof rims, I'd prefer to save some rotating mass.

just had chance to have built a bling pair of wheels ...i could have had ANYTHING i wanted but chose

open pro ceramic 32s built 3X
    TUNE HUBS
    KCNC cassette
    CX RAY black spokes
    supersonic tubes/velox rim tapes
    GP4000S chilli tyres
    mavic Ti/composite Qrs

wheels built up lighter than pair of Ksyrium ES's .... we weighed both in the shop ..

in all black they look so stealthy ! ..
absolutely bombproof if built well ....

    Sweet!

Someone I know who lives in Annecy and does all the climbs out there has lovely set of Open Pro Ceramics with DT Aero spokes and D/Ace 32 hole hubs. Simple and repairable. As light as Ksyrium ES and repairable, with better stopping in the wet due to the ceramic rims
