Does anyone know how easy it is to swap a Mavic Shimano Freehub body for a mavic campy one? I have a set of Ksyrium es wheels but they're shimano and my new group is reocrd so I need to change the freehub and would like to learn how myself so if anyone can help - instructions and what I'd need to buy - that'd be awesome.

Changing a freehub is quite straight-forward. You need to remove the axle assembly and then use a 10mm Allen key to unscrew the freehub from the hub. Refitting is reversal of the above.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

Yes, as above it's an easy job. You just need to get a Mavic dealer to order you a freehub. Usually about £40 (for a Kysrium SL - might be more for the ES) but they crop up on ebay (where I got mine)from time to time for about half that.0

If it's a 27.2mm seatpost then it's very likely to be 32mm. If it's a 31.6mm seatpost then it'll be 35mm.0

I've got campagnolo Kysriums and want to give them to my wife but her bike is Shimano.
Do you want to swap the relevant bits?
email me at pete@infonote.com if you do.
