Has anyone noticed an improvement in their health after regular cycling? i.e. Get ill less often, or recover quicker from illness. Is there another connection?

I'm definitely stronger and healthier than I've ever been. Pyschology also plays a part.

I know if I took a car/tube/bus everyday that I would miss... something (my edge?) and the quality of my life would gradually decline.

Plus I have a desk job, so sitting down all the time would mean my @ss would spread.

I find that it certainly helps to keep my weight down, now that I can't go running any more.

Best advice I ever got was "better get a bike then"
