Planning to cycle Liverpool to York in a weeks time with a friend. We are taking a tent, but with the weather the way it is at the moment, we've decided to look into back up plans for sleep time.

Does anyone know what the route is like for hostels or other similar cheap overnight accommodation?

Cheers!

Sean

We phoned ahead and used B&B's out of the TPT guide. Found that the hostels weren't quite where we needed them to be

We were there last month - the route was passable, and in places wet!

We tour slowly at my wife's pace, and take time to visit local sites, also allowed for weather and floods!....

    We stayed at
    Church End Farm, Hale

    Travelodge at Didsbury

    Peels Arms, Padley

    Cubley Arms at Penistone

    Hazeldene Guest House at Shelby

All were brilliant with the bikes, and I can recommend the beer and sausages atthe Peels Arms..

We cut out at Penistone due to th problems in Doncaster and Bentley. Took the train to York and then cut back to Selby.

In York we stayed at the University.
