It's not the severity of it that does my head in so much as the awfully long time it's been going on - we've not had any spells of nice weather up here in scotland since April, I think. Grrrr.

Also, is it me, or does the worst weather suddenly arrive in time for the weekend??

According to the Sun newspaper the only day of summer we will have/had was on the 15th of July, and it was not a bad day.

All this week it was meant to be rain and thunder according to the BBC weather site but in fact there has been none at all at least up here in Glasgow its just been dull with some sun now and then.

I have totally given up on the UK weather your better just packing a rainproof jacket and getting the miles in, hopefully it might turn out well.

Was over in Gran Canaria a few weeks ago 25-28 every day 5 days of rain a year...lucky sods if you like it sunny all the time :D

My partner's son has just left Cheltenham''s bus station, he was supposed to get the train to Preston...Cancelled

And he bought a ticket for the coach...Cancelled

all the coaches are in London and cannot get to Cheltenham
the poor lad has tried for 4 hours to get home for a family reunion, but Ithink it will be cancelled/postponed too as other people cannot get here sue to the floods.

    summer ????

We set out for our holiday in Cornwall at 5am from Birmingham. The M5 was shut and after hearing local radio I decided to turn back. A friend who left at 4.30 took the A38 and is now trapped in Tewkesbury looking forward to spending the night on a hotel floor with her 2 kids. Hoping things will improve by tomorrow. This time last year we were on the beach.
  • It's totally getting me down too. I don't mind getting rained on after I've been out a while, but I won't purposefully go out whilst it's raining.

I've had enough and it put me in a major stinking mood this morning.

Here's the reason for all the crap weather; read the 'Midsummer Madness' bit for the reasons. (don't rely on the BBC forecast, as it's crap tbh; this site has never let me down & you can get long range forecasts AND forecasts specific to cycling under the 'Hobbies' tab).

    Enjoy

I think it must be you...

Ive ridden 24 Audaxes since mid December, all of them at weekends and I've only needed waterproofs three times.

There has been a distinct lack of sun though.
  • The weather up hear is much better today, it's raining but it's warm as well.

No it's just you, you must be a lucky so and so.

I went out two weeks ago with a rain proof, little good it did with the rain we got caught in, got soaked through to the bone and floods everywhere.
