Schwalbe Super Moto

I am considering buying the Schwalbe Super Moto tyre but wonder is there a major advantage over this and the Big Apple tyre. They are more than double the price. Does any body run on these tyre? What is your experience?

    lighter and a faster rolling carcas. kevlar bead/steel bead iirc.

    you will not really notice the difference,

    I just read a review and it seems that they are harder wearing but also provide a better grip, but they are still twice the price. oooh dilemma.

    I am considering them because I have used the Big Apples before and loved them but not sure if they will withstand a 5000km bike haul that I plan to do later next year.

    I guess it only works out at less than a penny/km/tyre but still they seem pricey. What do you think?

    Can anybody also give advice on epic treks. What should I be thinking about that I am not thinking about?
