I'm going to start commuting (as soon a s a bike space becomes available), I was going to get a new bike through the bike 2 work scheme, but missed the cut off time. Now have to wait till September when it will be with Halfords...or, as I think will be the case, wait until April and go with Evans Cycles

So for the time being I'll be using my rigid 18 year old Kona.

Because of the nature of my job I'd only be commuting the 24 mile round trip 2, maybe 3, times a week

Would it be worth getting a set of slicks and wheels to swap over?...Or should I stop my whinging and ride the nobblies?

Many thanx

If it is mostly on road then slicks are defiantly the way to go...

Best advice I ever got was "better get a bike then"

...if it's mostly road it has to be the slicks...
...all the way...'til the wheels fall off and burn...
