Is the stumperjumper comp worth the extra couple of hundred quid over the rockhopper pro comp?

The frame uses a different tubeset and is lighter, and the fork is more expensive, though if its any better is hard to say. Also a better wheelset on the Stumpy. Ride them, see what you think.
Take a look at the Zaskar Pro too.0 -
Yes. Pay the extra. Stumpy HT Comp takes you into serious bike territory. If nothing else you've got a better frame base for upgrading kit. If the b*stard 'puters at work hadn't crashed at 4pm today I'd be sat here drolling over one!
But then if you can stretch to £1280.....

I swapped out my Avalanche frame with a Stumpy frame recently, absolutely love the long geometry. It's by far the fastest, most inspiring bike I've ever ridden (my older bike is an Enduro 2001).
If it was lost or stolen right now I'd go straight out and buy another Stumpy as you listed!
Stumpalanche! -> http://www.dinosaurplanet.net/Stumpy2.jpg - It's got Crossrides and kevlar Roll X on now, those stock wheels weigh a ton.0 -
oops!!
I went out this morning to buy a Stumpy HT and came back with an Epic FSR......
It's a bugger when that happens!0 -
Happens to me all the time... went to Netto once to get a few beers and a pizza, came home with an electric guitar.0
