How do I insert a web-address as a hyper-link

Sorry if this has been covered before, can't see it in FAQs................
On the old C+ site, you could insert a web-address so that it appeared just as a word that was a hyperlink
I've tried the same command format on this site but it doesn't work
Example
Cycling Plus
used to appear as a hyperling Cycling Plus
Can you still do this, if so, how?

Not sure if it's just me, but my img and url tags don't seem to be working.
For example, in the Commuting forum in the thread to post your bike, I've added
