help with juicy 7s

ive just bought a bike with avid juciy 7s on it and i find that i have to pull the lever to far towards the bars before the brakes actually start to stop the bike. is there any way of shortening this didtance, does it have anything to do with that red knob on the lever? this is really just personal preference and it doesnt effect the power of the break which is exelent. any solutions would be much apreciated

    follow the link to Srams tech page and down load the manual.

    there is a lever adjust screw and the red dial is a pad position adjuster.

    READ the manual and all will be clearer.
