I have a Trek 1200 road bike, I think its a 2006 model.
The headset is under the brand AheadSet (Which I never knew existed!)

I dont know which model, as it isn't marked at all, it is.
Does anyone know, and where I can get spares for it? the bearings, seals and the races for sitting into the bearings all need replaced. My cups have a little wear, but should be ok for now.

Its either that, or get a replacement headset, Can anyone recommend one for the Trek 1200?

I'm a mountain biker at heart and am not sure on all the different kinds on road bikes (integrated, semi integrated etc etc...) or even which type I have.

help!

EDIT - Just looked at it again, and in true trek form, the headset cap has the Bontrager logo on it. So I am now thinking its made by bonty?

As far as I know it's a unique semi-integrated type unique to Trek - so need to go to a Trek dealer for spares. Sadly, it's not the most robust or well-sealed unit about, but as it's unique to Trek there's isn't a choice.

i could not find out anything concrete but it seem it is a Zero stack (internal with cups) so it should not be that hard to sort. pull the bearings out and see what the number is.
