Spesh Allez v Focus Variado

Narrowed my choice for a new bike to the 2 above - either the Allez Elite for £699 or the Focus Variado Expert for £759 - I'm a MTBer by trade but enjoy road biking - last road bike I had was a Giant SCR 2.0

Any advice on which is the best buy - the bonus of the Spesh is that it would be from my LBS...

    Allez wins.

    You get it from your LBS and you get proper service, not a box from a DHL lorry

    Go gor the Variado. I used to have a Giant OCR 2 which I imagine is very similar to the SCR 2 and replaced it(after it got nicked) with a Variado. Its a huge step up and is probably the best value bike in its range considering the spec it has compared to its competitors. It probably doesn't handel as well as the scr but its positives definately outway this

    I own an Allez and a Variado Expert - go for the Focus it's a stonkingly good bike!
