Ive just had a new chainset fitted, i think the centre peice or spindle is to large for the new chainset as it overhangs and my gears are out by miles.

My main priority is to stop my Left Arm from loosening. Any Idea's what the problem is?

The new chainset is a SR Suntour here are afew pics that may help you.

it does look like you have the wrong crankset for the bb length,

and tighten it up. use a lever if needed.

Measure your current bb axle length.
Decide how closer to the center you'd like your crankset to be and measure the difference to your current position.
    Multiply this measure by 2.
Correct axle length= current axle length-(measureX2)
Buy a shimano square taper bb sealed unit as closest as possible to the correct size(5£)

Looking at that cup and cone BB, I would upgrade anyway!

The middle chainring must be 47.5-49mm from the center of the frame for the gears to work properly.
