It's my first day in Tokyo (Look at me) and it seems quite common for cyclists to cycle on the pavement as they rarely seem to cylce on the road at least so far. :?
I reckon over the next 7 days im going to cop it at least once.I needed my wits about me this afternoon after flying for eleven hours I nearly went on another flying trip a few times and found I needed a sixth sense to stay out of trouble.
Haven't seen any RLJ's and I noticed the peds like 90+% of the time only cross when the lights say it is ok to do so.
Perhaps these peds here have more common sense or there is some sort of law.I haven't worked it out yet. It's hard enough finding something to drink which isn't laced with booze which I unsuspectingly bought earlier as I cant read japanese. :?
London cyclists all is forgiven. 8)

I work for a Japanese bank in London, and have been told by my Japanese colleagues that in Tokyo, cyclists are expected to cycle on the pavements, not the road.0 -

Ahhhh that doesn't surprise me thanks. It hasn't been too bad at least they haven't been cycling like it's the Italian job although it did catch me out a bit.Aren't they allowed to cycle on the road then?
All I have seen is illegal moves here and ther odd courieur cyclist.
