Hi,

Anybody ride the trails round Bluebell Hill in Maidstone?
What they like? I'm presuming there's a bit of uping & downing involved :D

Anywhere else near there?

    Hi Impished,

I ride the trials behind Blue Bell Hill.

I got a wicked little route worked out involvong a long downhil section whit some tough rocks and rugged terrain, just to get the heart pumping. I then follow pilgrims way to Boxley hill, Two choices here, girl it ( which is what i usually do ) and go up on the road, which is a real lactic acid killer, or carry on a bit furthe rdown pilgrimsway/ boxley and go up XC, but that is a monster. There are then more trails to follow at the top. I think the loop i do is around 16 miles.

You will have to let me know when you fancy a cycle and we can meet up.

I know there are plenty more trails to be found

To be honest Andy i would not have a clue where to get any trail maps from.

The trails i have found are kind of made up and are just routes i have come across on my years of living in the area.

You are more than welcome to come out and i can show you the ones i have found if you like

I am going to arrange a day out with impish over the next couple of weeks so come along too if you want.

I am on evenings this week and nights next week, the week after would be a good time to meet up if you fancy it :)

I've never seen a map for Bluebell hill.
The only reason I noticed it was the number of muddy bikers I see around there and Maidstone

There are a couple of pics on Flickr & youtube as well :D

Yeh i'v seen them as well. I keep trying to pull over and ask where the'v been riding, but there is never anywhere to stop.

There are so many steep hills in that area i am surprised nobody has built a downhill centre. The most likely place in Kent for it i would have thought. Why did we have to live in one of the flattest parts of the UK!
