Bike Storage/Security in a Garage....

Hi Guys,
Having gone from 1 bike to 7 bikes in around 14 months, I will soon need to think about security for them when stored in the hopefully newly acquired garage - pending house purchase all going well.
Four are what I would term 'High value' as in over £300 each, and I want to make sure they are safe, so in the short term will likely bring them into the house, until I am happy with the setup in the garage.
What is the best route to go to keep them secure in the garage, ground anchor and some serious chain locks?
Also, what storage options are best?
I've seen the big wall hooks, where you hang them on the frame, and I've seen the ceiling ones where you hoist them up by the frame and saddle I think it is.
One I saw at a chaps house, but forgot to ask about, was where he had the bikes stored upright, wheels to the wall, if that makes sense, and he just kind of picked it up, and off it came - is that a good way to store them?
EDIT: Most of what I mention above I have found on here: http://www.bikecare.co.uk/acc/cyclestands.html
Any that people have personal experience of, or would recommend to use or stay clear of?
Thanks
Dan

You could hang the bikes from their wheels using bike hooks attached to the ceiling.
£1.68 for a pair.
