Doing this one way or another on Saturday. Does anyone have advice on which train to take and pre booking etc?.

I dont mind taking a slow train, I just dont want to get involved with taking wheels off and all that malarky.

Thanks a lot,

Spoke

According to the Stansted Express website:

Please note large non-folding bikes are not permitted.

I don't know whether any other train companies go to Stansted Airport I suspect you will need to go to the nearest 'normal' station and then ride from there. What about the Cambridge train getting off at Stansted Montfitchet?

If you use the National Rail Enquiries site there will be a link to tell you the cycle policy for the operating company.

I flew from stanted last year to Italy, got the train from tottenham hale no probs with bikes. you could prob get on earlier (closer to centre of london) just we was going from finsbury park so was convenient. operator was One. http://www.onerailway.com/
