I need to get my steerer tube cut on my argyles- my mate is a heating engineer and said he has steel pipe cutters (triple wheel ones) and that he would cut it for me - I just didn't want to bugger up brand new forks - is this method OK?

Cheers

Pipe Cutters are fine. Just make sure you file the edge of afterwards and deburr the inside of the tube.

yes, they should. but some struggle with steel steerers but if he does it for a living he should have good kit.

dont forget measure 2 times and cut once.

Cool, he said that these cutters cost him £60 so I guess they must be good as I've seen standard ones for £15

    Thanks guys!
