Hi

I'm thinking of buying some more lenses for my cycling sun glasses and was wondering what, if any the benefits/disadvantages of polarised lenses are. The specific lenses I'm considering are also photochromic.

Cheers

Polarised lenses. Remove glare and make colours more vivid, hence makes the world look a better place. Also significantly more expensive than non-polarised. Can't think of any cycling benefits though (as most sunglasses remove glare)

to reduce glare....I think is some sort of mirror finish i'm sure you'll find on oakley or RP's web site....
    I have clear and photocromic....NXT
I have to say these lenses are amazing... in terms of adjusting to light i'd say they're on or off red or black and not so much polarized or adjusting. I have RPjc from 2001 and compared they're awesome however i'd say specializeds NXT havea better transmission of light...ie clearer by something silly like 0.0025%...I have good eyes!!...they just seemed slightly better however i'd say when you've NXT you'll never go back...they really are worth it. try em
PS the reason I've tried specialized and RP NXT is my Specialized got run over..AAAAARRGGH.....Oh and they don't break which leaves the question..replacement lenses?? eh no feckin replacement frames sir.
    anyway
