Afternoon chums!

im looking for some advice if you will?

i used to be big into my bikes, but have been off the scene for a number of years, anyway im looking to get my bike in some kind of decent working order

bascially i have a GT LTS 1 spin, of which the front Judy XC forks are not working correctly - the foam inside has corroded away and they are staying compressed at all times - apparently the local bike shop thinks getting new 'insides' is mission impossible?

if im looking at buying new forks online (ebay) which ones should i be looking at?

also the rear susp bracket is supposidly knackered, although it seem to work to me - its a rock shox deluxe - are there spares of these about?

i found a rear swing are washer kit on ebay which i may buy, just to change the parts as the current washers have dried and cracked.....

sorry for the long post as a newbie, but would really appreciate some advice from true enthusiasts

cheers
Deano

fork yes new. somthing with simlar travel.

shock give TFtuned a call and see if they can sort.

also talk to them about the fork.

But see what can be done about the rear shock first as if it is a no no or going to cost a lot you may want to have second thoughts...

    but im running V-brakes
    so what would be compatible

they can service the rear shock - apprently its hard to remove this???

Ebay have cheap LTS shocks sometimes.
  • Hi,

visit www.betd.co.uk for anything lts pivot/bearing related

for shocks you can get a brand new one from betd (again) for £40 but it'll be a coupe, better though is:

    http://store.nexternal.com/shared/Store ... ucts%2Easp

only £18 including postage, gotta wait 2-8 weeks though, the super deluxe from your old lts would cost more to fix than a new shock and its very unlikely you will get you hands on a decent 2nd hand one. For £18 there isn't much to grumble about though
  • me again, just noticed the bit about the shock being hard to remove, should just be the 2 screws at the trunnion mount (top) and the bolt at the bottom.
