Seat Post Sizes
Do seat posts have be exact size for seat tube. There is a sticker on my SCR3 that states the internal diameter is 31.7mm. It looks like it is shimmed down but to what i dont know without measuring it.
According to Wiggle
"A seat post needs to fit your frame exactly - within 0.2mm"
Does this mean i can buy a 31.6mm seat tube or should i find out what size it is shimmed to and buy a seat tube with that diameter

can you measure it?
if not, drop Giant a line. I'm sure they'll know.
but yes.... you need to be within 0.1mm for a proper fit. eg. a 27.0 post will not work properly in a frame designed for 27.2mmFacts are meaningless, you can use facts to prove anything that's remotely true! - Homer0
