a new bottom bracket to be fitted to a santa cruz blur. as recomended by the lbs mechanic. "truative gigapipe dh". anyone used these, any thoughts. ride mainly xc and man made single track.

IIRC the Turbine is a light weight XC crank, so unsure why the mecahnic recommended a heavy DH bottom bracket. maybe he thought the bearings would last longer: I would take a look at the SKF bottom brackets:

cheers sonic, well i was thinking of upgrading the cranks too but not quite yet, i thinnk it was recomended because of its durability and sumthing to do with a twin set of bearings??
will check out the skf bbs. ill see if they recomend anything else with an upgrade in cranks in mind.0
