Does anybody use x tools here or have any of their tools as I'm looking at purchasing a few new tools for some alterations to ma bike and I like the look of the £££tag that comes with their products......
Just wondering if they're worth the buy.
I won't be using the tools all the time so they don't need to be indestructible but they do need to last.
Cheers in advance

I have some X-Tools cone spanners and a cassette remover.

Spanners are good value for money and comparable to the Park spanner I have.
Panted finish rubs off the spanners so they look a bit grubby but still work perfectly .

The cassette removal tool is excellent and on the CRC (ChainReactionCycles) website people rate them as stronger than a similar shimano tool for less money.

As long as you pay a decent amount for tools you ll be fine.....

could i add at that coment or make a small alteration. "pay good money for tools that you use often".

the X tools are fine for home use. and if you find you have worn somthing out replace it with better.

Cheers guys, I ended up getting this http://www.ultimatepursuits.co.uk/produ ... tical=1&v=
cos it saved alot o feckin aboot and was delivered to ma LBS . Used it today...Fine and looks like it will stand up to some good home use. (shimano specific I think, got an HG chain on it anyway.....does that matter???? REALLY??)
Park tool mega exo BB tool, BBT19C.
For mega exo I think the FSA BB tool would prob be easier to use and provide better grip of the cups however is something ridiculous like £70 so unless you're a team mechanic for CSC then feck that.
