hi all
i bought a principia rex sx a few weeks ago with damaged isaac forks. i have been looking around on ebay and other places for replacements but have had no luck. now you may think this is a stupid question but i was wondering would i be able to fit any carbon fork to my bike or does it have to be a isaac type fork.
many thanks

  • Any brand.

All you need to know is are they 1" or 1" & 1/8th steerer

Does it have an integrated headset or a proper/normal one?

check out http://www.burls.co.uk/prices.htm as he had some very nice reynolds carbon forks on offer.

As well as the steerer size - I expect your forks are 1.125", it's also worth checking the fork rake dimension - most forks are 43mm. This is the offset dimension between the centreline of the fork steerer and the centre of the drop-outs. However, some bikes can come fitted with irregular sizes - for large frames it can be 40mm and small ones 45mm. Does the frame feature an integrated headset / flared headtube? - then you'll prob ably want an 'integrated' fork crown too - it just means you have a crown that's flared to blend-in with the headtube for a cleaner look.
Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..
