Rack Bags - my experiences so far

Hi Guys,
thought I would add my findings on the 2 rack bags I have recently purchased:
This one is pretty smart: http://www.tredz.co.uk/details.aspx?cgid=&id=10603&cid=
It has fold out 'extender panniers' to double the capacity - it also comes with a shoulder strap, and a rain cover.
Used it the weekend before last, and is pretty spacious, and secures quite well, 2 velcros straps underneath and one to go round the seatpost.
Construction seems pretty good, and quality is good.
I bought mine off ebay for around £19 delivered, and for the price I can't argue with it at all. It is a little small, only takes up around 70% of the rack space, and i couldn't fit a largeish U lock in it.
Today, I had delivered this:
http://www.rutlandcycling.com/ProductDe ... 79f3abba34
This is a coolbag as well, which I thought was bloody useful, but the non coolbag version can be had for £26.99.
Rutland cycling seemed to be the cheapest by far for these, but I may be wrong!
It looks stonking build quality, and is really solid, i thought it was packed out with cardboard, but it's nice and solid, don;t know if this is because of the coolbag part or not, and as well as the shoulder strap has a nice handle ontop of the bag for, well carrying it really.
Secures in the same way as the Avenir bag, ie 2 velcros straps underneath, and one round the post.
Not sure, but I think this one will fill the entire rack, as seems a fair bit longer.
Might get some bungee cords for when I want to take it off quickly, and not bother with the velcro ones.
Cheers
Dan

Do these rack bags rattle a lot?
I normally use a courier bag for work, but wouldn't mind something less sweaty for hot days (yeah I know, not much chance this year!). I cycle a few towpaths though and panniers just annoy me, I assume rack packs are the same, especially if they just attach with velcro?

The Avenir rattled a bit, on the 33 mile route we did, but then it isn't as 'solid walled' as the C2P one.
I would be inclined, and probably will just bung a couple of bungees round, and do it that way, that will keep it nice and secure, and will make it nice and easy if you want to take it off when you get to your destination.

always interested in a rack bag but likewise worried about how snug it would be, you can;t really beat a plastic bag and a bungee cord, I suppose it wants to hard mount to the rack and then have some sort of integral strap to squash it all down0
