OK so it's not for a woman, it's for my tiny hands!
I'm finding my Cane Creek SCR-5 levers quite uncomfortable due to the bulk of the hood area (reach whilst on the drops is less of an issue). I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions as to something more compact/slimline - quite happy to do a swap for the cane creek levers!

Are the old school 'cables flying out the top' levers comfortable on the palm? They appear to be much smaller and although I hate flying cables; I'd live with it for the comfort.

Shimano have some adjustable STI levers for small hands - the STR 500, 600 and 700. I haven't tried any of them.

Oops, should've clarified - these are just the brake levers no gears as it's for a fixed wheel bike. I'll make a note of that though as I've just bought an STI equipped bike!

How about the Cane Creek SCR-5C, where the C stands for Compact?

Only difference on those (and also the tektro 'compacts) that I've compared is the reach from bar to lever on the drops - they still have the 'fat' hoods.

Dunno. I have early '80s DA 7400 brakes and the hoods are quite small and very comfy. I think the old Campy brown ones are even smaller but they look less padded. You could ask over at acf - there are some 'older' cyclists over there! Or try the CTC forum?
