Guys...whats the point of criticizing him, T-mobile's coluor is Pink! Have you all got a problem with that? Maybe pink wasn't the best colour to choose but at the end of the day it's his chose so let him and don't say it's gay....does that make everyone that has a t-mobile thing gay? I don't think so.Part of the Left-handed CommunityTM0

Oi!! As slow as this forum is, we don't need to resurect old topics
Besides, it's not just the colour that makes it'gay'.
...and not that I care, but isn't that a road jersey anyway??
Either way, he asked for opinions.0 -

Why would you buy a T-mobile jersey though? It's just stupid. Are you actually sponsored by them?
Buy one that goes with your bike, if you really want to be a tart, or a generic fox, or enduro, or whatever.
But why cover yourself in somebody ELSE's sponsors? That's just retarded?!?
Maybe you sould go the whole hog and adorn yourself in Castrol GTX, Apple, Oakley, Champion, Pirelli, Martini, Dubai, Prodrive etc stickers and really look a twat!0 -

Both my bikes are Giants so I wanted to support them further by buying one of the team jerseys. In that way the jersey DOES go with my bikes. I like to pretend I am sponsored by them - does that upset you?
I often wear replica sports jerseys adorned with sponsors that are not at all for me, does that make me retarted for advertising Carlsberg when I dont work for them? Should I in future remove all labels from all my clothing so that I show no support of any company?
Next time you have a pint down the pub I hope you ask for a glass with no name on it and next time you buy a car take all the badges off it.
After all that go and fuck yourself and see if I care.0 -
nobody mentioned that it's German!........ :P

You're kind of missing the point though. If I bought a Ford, I wouldn't take the Ford badge off. It belongs there. I don't expect you to scratch the Giant decals from your bike.
Yes, I really do think that people walking around with Carlsberg or whatever on their footy tops are retards.
Support your team, fine, go and watch their matches, cheer for them and so on. But don't spend an extortionate amount of money just to have a fricking sponsor logo on your shirt.
I've always been into motorsports, but I don't go to watch rallies dressed in a flame retardant race suit with sponsor logos everywhere. Neither do I drive down to the shops wearing such a thing. Doesn't mean I don't support the sport.
You really do look a tit to me!andrew156 wrote:yeehaamcgee wrote:Why would you buy a T-mobile jersey though? It's just stupid. Are you actually sponsored by them?

Fair enough though I really don't care.0

Just waxing rhetorical here, but apart from the silliness of wearing a brand bceause 'your' team does, doesn't paying a fortune to wear a brand name emblazoned across your chest kind of go against the principles of fair business?
For example, if I was a professional athlete, watched by a great deal of people, T-mobile, Vodafone, Carlsberg or whoever would have to pay ME tons of money, more than anybody else would have offered, in fact, to have their insignia displayd on my clothing, bringing about brand awareness for them.
However, if you choose to go out and buy a T-shirt or jersey with that same insignia on it, you're required to pay a fortune in order to have the privilidge to advertise that product.
It may not seem like advertising to you, but suppose you're in a pub, wandering what to have, and some guy walks in wearing a 'Becks' T-shirt.
It could possibbly lead you to think,
"hmm, haven't had a bottle of becks in a while, I think I'll get one of them".
the guy in the Becks T-shirt is effectively advertising becks. But rather than get paid for it, he's had to pay them.
Doesn't seem right does it?
That's why I find the whole thing retarded.0
