Well, that's what Mr Biver says.

So I expect that Astana are going to turn on the hurt tomorrow and by the end of the day we're all going to be going "WTF happened there"

Or they could just fade badly and leave it to some younger riders.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

    Thanks.

Now the Kloden tactic makes sense cos they are both still in the race. Vino needs to attack though, so tomorrow's stage should be great!!! :D

Unless he doesnt want to show his hand. I reckon they are bluffing, and Iain is right....he could just fade, after all, why else announce he is back if he really was?

True, but they also announced before the weekend that all they were trying to do over the weekend was limit their losses.

In which case, are they forecasting exactly how many minutes he is going to win by? :D

getting a little ahead of ourselves aren't we? Just because he's back to his best doesn't mean he is good enough to win the stage  (I hope he is good enough though)

Oooh, I love it when the teams start their fighting talk. :D

I think Rasmussen is going to be right at the forefront of events tomorrow. He's got a massive job to do if he wants to keep his jersey until Paris, so he knows he must make the most of every mountain stage. In fact, he said as much himself in a press conference yesterday when he mentioned that he's going to have to climb better than he's ever done in his life. Ability? Check. Motivation? Check: I've never seen him so confident. Astana opposition? Still weakened, in my opinion, hence the big chat coming from Biver's direction.

    Can't wait.

I think he'll still hang on in there and is capable of doing a Floyd Landis IF he recovers from his injuries. And all the others watch each other like they have been doing. But Valverde must be the hot favourite now?

I can't see it to be honest, simply because the other riders all look in decent form.

Shows what I know picking him to win yesterday but I do agree with what you say and I thought it yesterday. He has three relitivly easy days coming up, if he can regroup and finish well on Saturdays mountain stage he can maybe put in a big TT on Sunday then on Monday and Wednesdays mountainstages try put an attack on to pull himself up the GC and who knows what. It might be a big ask, surely they wouldn't let someone do a Landis again but as much as everyone looks strong they all look like they could blow at some point as well. Vino is still podium potential but it's a long shot.
