Lockout not working?

Hi All - I have Rock Shox J2 Forks which have lockout on.
I typically ride with lockout on when on the road, and only turn off when going on trails etc.
Last week, I turned the lockout on only to realise it is having zero effect on the forks, they still move when weight is applied, as if it was off.
Whats gone wrong and how can I fix it so lockout works?

The forks are designed to move slightly when locked out, and will shift under large loads via the blow off. Though if they are completely unlocked it sounds like the damping cartridge is faulty.0

I've got the same problem with my Tora 318's. Lockout has just stopped locking out.0

I read via the Rock Shox website that I needed to do a few heavy pushes on an unlocked shock, after a few pumps I locked it again, and there has been a vast improvement, ie, its locking a lot more than it was."I don't do double-entendres, but I do like to slip a big one in occasionally"
