Short, easy tours in NW England

Hi,
Mrs cisamcgu, the young cisamcgu (10years old) and I would like to have a little tour. Now the young one has only ever ridden about 10miles in one go, so we are planning a VERY easy few days.
I have found this company
http://www.byways-breaks.co.uk/default.htm
who seem to do what we are after. 10-15 miles per day and they will move our luggage from one BB/hotel to the next.
Has anyone ever heard of them, and do you think it sounds a good idea anyway ?
Thanks
Andrew

Some people are just like a "Slinky" .. Not really much point to them, but kind of fun to push down stairs

I think that I remember seeing good reports from people who have used them (might have been on the CTC forum).Colin N.
Lincolnshire is mostly flat... but the wind is mostly in your face!0 -
Thanks for that.

They sound OK, if you want something a little further afield or just general advice on touring with a small child see www.bretonbikes.com (disclaimer - good friends of mine)
Geoff & Kate run cycling holidays in Brittany & have 3 kids themselves, see http://www.bretonbikes.com/children.htm0 -
Many thanks, but I think in the first instance we will stay close to home

We did a family tour in Austria last year - along the Danube so very flat (technically slightly downhill as it follows the river downstream) with both little Lanterns - aged 9 and 11 at that time - and with luggage transfers. The longest day was 30 miles which the boys coped with no problem - just need plenty of stops and FOOD. This year we're doing a self supported tour along Hadrians wall cycle way (Whitehaven to Newcastle) which is pretty flat but likely to be a bit more taxing. I'll be towing all the gear. There are companies though that do this route with luggage support - although I'm afraid I can't currently remember names. I saw them advertised in the CTC magazine.
Good luck and enjoy your tour.0
