Hit a pedestrian this morning who ran out into the road, causing me to come off my bike and hurt my knee. Nothing major - The bike (Sirrus Pro) looks and feels fine, but how would you know whether there is any damage to carbon forks?

Flappy, can you be more specific on the age/sex/behaviour of the ped so we can allocate points correctly?

Hope you got her phone number...**************
Best advice I ever got was "better get a bike then"
Cycle commuting since 1994. Blog with cycle bits.

...maybe you should get her to massage the damaged parts ...all the way...'til the wheels fall off and burn...0

One thing you don't want to risk is your forks breaking while riding as a result of any damage this accident may have caused. If I were you I'd go to your local bike shop and ask them to give your bike a once over. I guess the obvious signs of damage will be impact marks and cracks, but a professional will know exactly what to look for.0

I had a very strange bit of frame damage after my commute on my aluminum frame which showed up on a service. It looked like the back wheel rim had worn into the frame which is still very strange. It hadn't showed up on a previous service.Very strange. When they found th damage they refused to work on it so that was the end.0
