I'm aiming to ride the etape in 2008 but currently have only one bike, a fixed gear, which I commute on every day. I'm not a complete lunatic so will not be using that bike for the etape. I'm planning on buying something with >1 gear.
My heart wants the Wilier Mortilro Chorus but my head is saying choose something like the Roubaix Expert. They're both basically the same price so what it comes down to is which bike is most suited to training for and riding the etape. I'm not after lightning times or something that I can use in the future for hard-core racing.
