Roof Mounted Bike Rack

Hi peeps,

I've just been looking at prices for roof bars & racks :shock:
I suddenly realise why most people use rear mounted racks..... :?

Anybody got a Peugeot 307 (with spoiler)? If so what rack d'you use with it?

Roof racks work better - Thule are best.

If it's only occasional use the rear mounting system might be OK. Halfords do their own version. It's a bit cheap & nasty but they sometimes help you fit it (harder than it looks).

Rear racks & spoilers can be dodgy, check with Peugeot.

I personally prefer roof mounted Thule carriers, ok it cost £250 to carry 2 bikes, but I would not trust my pride & joy to anything else.
