O'Grady's injuries

Ugh, that's horrible. Collarbone, shoulderblade, five ribs, punctured lung and "some bones in his spine".
If cyclists were animals there'd be people picketing the start line to get it banned.

Ah well, season over. He's lucky to not have any serious spinal injuries.0

Thanks for the update - It didn't sound great to hear he was being airlifted off to hospital
All the best to him - sounds pretty horrendous0 -
Poor old Stuey
Just read as well as a suspected broken nose for Sinkewitz, the spectator he collided with is in a coma (According to Cycling4all.com). So not a good day for the Tour
Plus Kai Reus is still in a coma after his training accident last week.0 -
That's some pretty nasty injuries...................hope he makes a full recovery.............he is a class act.0

That's awful. Was waiting for ITV to give us an update at the end or the highlights, but there was nothing. Not even a mention on the BBC this morning (despite mentioning almost everyone else)
Wish him all the best in his recovery0 -
That sounds painful. What a shame for him to end his season like this, especially given that he had the biggest victory of his career in the spring.
Let's hope he recovers quickly and is back racing soon.0 -
A sad day in ways, feel for the spectator, and Ogrady's crash seems really nasty.0

Poor Stuey. Possibly the most likable rider in the Peloton.
Hope he gets better soon.
Hope the spectator pulls through too. It's a little like wrestling a gorilla. You don't quit when you're tired. You quit when the gorilla is tired.0
