worth the work?

just brought a merida mattspeed with the intention of using the shimano hydraulic discs and deore shifters/gearset etc on my gt avalanche 3 which currently has acera 24 speed and tektro io brakes. the deores are mega 9(?) will this be much of an improvment/easy swap and is the merida frame worth selling?

    yes it will work fine. it will be 2 steps up the shimano ladder.
