Eurosport audio streaming

I can't get the eurosport audio streaming to work - is there something I have to download to be able to listen? It worked when the Giro was on but it looks like a different set-up now. I'm watching on NOS but can't understand Dutch beyond the riders names, and the climbing percentages (although this may be a good thing I suppose).

I am techno-stupid.

Yes, the new Eurosport website is rubbish (as is www.letour.fr this year). It's unbelievably frustrating. I mean, the clue's in the name: Tour de France 2007. How the heck is it possible that we can't get streaming coverage of the self-proclaimed greatest sporting event in the world in two thousand and effing seven?! All this absurd swapping of precious URLs in the seedy underbelly of the web, 90% of which don't work or only work for a few hours, is embarrassing to put it politely.

Kudos to the NOS guys for putting up a stream that actually works, albeit in less than stellar quality for the bandwidth used (due to using that ancient WMV codec). But seriously folks (Eurosport in particular, who aren't even sufficiently competent to do streaming audio). This should be streamed in every language under the sun, in every country, at a choice of bandwidths, with an open high performance codec like H.264 instead of this crap proprietary Windows Media junk that only half works on Apple computers. At the very least, if the organisers can't sort this out they should leave people alone who do them the favour of broadcasting it, e.g. the Versus guys earlier on.

    It's pure insanity. 2007. Hello?

I would have thought that given today is in the high mountains they would have had longer live coverage on TV.
I am sure in the past that there was more than this.
I have kept trying to get the versus stream but "channel off air" is all I get.

NOS is Ok, albeit in a small window, but ,together with live tickertape feeds, one can just about follow the race.

Yeah, that's what I'm doing George. But I'm really annoyed with Eurosport and the wider absurdity of the situation. How can people say nobody in the UK is interested in the Tour if they don't show us it? I was there in London at the Prologue, and let me assure you there was plenty of interest. I'm not even asking Eurosport to broadcast the whole stage on TV. Just give us a decent video stream online. If that's too much to ask, at least actually do what you're saying you're doing and make an audio stream that works!

Has anyone at all got the Eurosport live audio working?

The Moto GP did get in the way a bit, this probably also has a "If you want to show it at all then you must how it Live" clause in it's contract. Though no reason the tour couldn't' have been covered on Eurosport 2 until Moto GP was out the way.
