Rotating handlebars

My handlebars have taken up the annoying habit of rotating in the stem. This is not a sudden slip but an almost imperceivible movement over the course of a ride. I have tried the obvious and tightened the bolt although I do not want to risk stripping the thread. Any simple solutions ?

This is NOT recommended anywhere (that I know of), but I would try red Hermatite. It is a semi-setting sealant used by the motor trade (Halfords?) for sealing joints, such as those on the water pump and thermostat housing, so it is OK with ali. It stops these leaking yet you can pull them of once the bolts (setscrews really) are removed. Clean of all the grease first. Use it for your household plumbing jobs too.The Wife complained for months about the empty pot of bike oil on the hall stand; so I replaced it with a full one.0
